My Story

My journey in self exploration and healing began when I was young, playing my guitar and singing. Music has always been an avenue for me to express how I am feeling and release the energy of emotion. It taught me how to be with emotion rather than turn away from it. In my adolescence, I began a yoga practice which opened my awareness to the mind, body, and spirit connection. I became a RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) through The Center Studio in San Luis Obispo, CA. My practice and teaching taught me the value of honoring space to come into the body and slow down the mind that then allows the natural unwinding to rise from within and release. I learned the importance of having a consistent practice that rekindles the connection to self and serves as an anchor to wellbeing and a state of calm.

Coming into adulthood, my experiences with intimate relationships cracked me open into new depths of learning and growth. The beautiful learning I continue to receive about myself, others, and the world through important relationships inspired me to pursue psychotherapy. I completed my master's in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Santa Barbara. I was called to Hospice of San Luis Obispo County to become more intimate with death and loss, which in turn deepened my connection with life. I provide grief counseling to people who are bereaved, people with life-limiting illness, people with anticipatory grief, and people who are caregivers. Sitting with these clients continue to inspire me and showed me the innate resilience within humans.

Currently, I am seeing clients through Sacred Path Holistic Therapy. In addition, I co-founded and developed a Nature Therapy program, We Are Nature Therapy. Through deepening and nurturing a reciprocal relationship with nature, I have experienced meaningful awe, fulfillment, healing, and holding. Nature is one of my greatest teachers and ally's. My Approach

I believe all pain stems from disconnection. Disconnection from self, others, and a greater belonging to the natural world. As a social species, we need love and support from one another to thrive and co-create a sense of safety. I believe each individual has everything they need within themselves to heal and the stable presence of another aids this natural healing process.

I view trauma as the fragmentation of painful experiences that get stuck within the body. Utilizing talk therapy, somatic, and mindfulness-based practices we will gently untangle what is keeping you stuck to create a more integrated sense of wholeness. Bringing your nervous system back to a state of homeostasis through grounding, self-soothing, and regulation practices. I will help you discover the patterns that influence your life to grant choice to live authentically.

I am influenced by attachment theory, transpersonal psychology, mindfulness, somatic psychology, and ecopsychology. I value collaboration and use an integrative approach to tailor the style of therapy to fit your needs and goals.

Together we will move through and learn from life's difficulties to create more harmony within yourself, your relationships, and your environment. I am here to understand how I can support you to live a life of fulfillment, connection, ease, and purpose.
